TOURISM AND FRAGILE ENVIRONMENTS
It is well known that our region has different places that are in danger because of tourism. So, would it be better if we protect them and make them protected areas? Tourism is very important for the economy of the area. Some cities or places such as Barcelona have lots oof money because tourism is the main economic sectors. Despite of that, other places like the Lake of Sant Maurici and Aigüestortes are in danger because of tourism. It is because of that, that on 21 of October of 1955, the Lake of Sant Maurici and Aigüestortes became established as a national park: This gave protection and security to the natural park which nowadays is one of the most beautiful and natural places in Catalonia. Most of the times, people run faster than protection and lots of places that years ago were beautiful, are nowadays polluted and exploted because of the bad tourism.
